United Nations framework convention on climate change (UNFCCC)

1992 at the Rio Summit over 159 countries signed United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC); it lay out an overall framework for an intergovernmental crusade to tackle actions posed by climate change.  Its supreme objective is the ‘stabilization  of the climate system by stabilize greenhouse-gas  concentrations in the atmosphere at a level preventing  dangerous anthropogenic interference, today The Convention having more than 190 members worldwide
