
Social capital
Social capital relates to human well-being on a social level, human capital on the individual. It consists of the social networks that support an efficient, society and facilitate social and intellectual interactions among its members.
It consists of the social networks that support a productive, cohesive society and facilitate social and intellectual interactions among its members. Social capital is a framework of social trust, norms, and networks that people can draw upon to solve common problems and create social cohesion, e.g. neighbourhood associations, civic organisations, and cooperatives.
