ABACA

ABACA is the sclerenchyma bundles from the sheathing leaf bases of Musa textilis, a plant closely resembling the edible banana plant. These bundles are stripped by hand, after which they are cleaned by drawing over a rough knife.

Abrasion

Abrasion is a term to describe wet processors (laundries) try to make garments look worn or faded by scraping or rubbing the surface of the fabric causing abrasion. Pumice stones are most frequently used. (see stone washing).

Abrasion resistance

Abrasion resistance is a term used to determine the degree to which loss of appearance through surface wear, rubbing, chafing, and other frictional actions are withstood. The abrasion resistance degree is determined by a test method.

Abrupt climate change is difficult to define subjective as it’s depending on large measurements of samples/data intervals in certain research over a rather long time.

Absolute scale (zero)

The Absolute scale is the name of a temperature measurement term, also known as the Kelvin scale. Kelvin’s unit of measurement begins at absolute zero.
