Ochre is the generic name of a type of colour (yellow, golden and red), and there are two different types:
- Synthetic ochre possesses the little advantage over the natural earth pigments, the difference being the method of manufacture.
- Natural (a naturally-occurring yellow‐brown hydrated iron oxide). Natural Ochre, ochre (yellow, golden, and red) natural ochre is found in France, Spain, Africa, Great Britain, USA and Italy.
