Macramé

Macramé is a term used to describe the precursor of pillow lace. Threads are elaborately knotted by hand from the warp threads, which stick out of carpets. Can be used as a needlework technique with typical varied knotting’s, e.g. for flower garlands. The name has degenerated into coarse etched points worked on as a curtain base. Macramé has recently become very popular as a hobby together with braiding of knots
