Emission

Natural or human-caused processes release of material into the environment. The term is used particularly describing air pollution for suspended or volatile contaminants (VOC) that result in burning fuel in an engine, for example. This pollution can be both human and natural origin.

Volcano’s acid mists can cause poisonous gases, hydrogen sulfide or forest can naturally fire release smoke, soot, carcinogenic hydrocarbons, dioxins, and other toxic chemicals (RoHs) as well as large amounts of carbon dioxide.
