Criteria pollutants

Criteria pollutants are chemical compounds found in urban air that have a variety of negative effects on health, the environment, and property. The six principal criteria pollutants identified by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) are CO, NO2, O3, SO2, Pb, and particulate matter (PM).
