Box loom (weave)

Box loom is a term used to describe a certain loom using two or more shuttles for weaving fabrics with filling yarns that differ in fibre type, colour, twist, yarn size or level. The box motion is automatic, changing from one shuttle to another. Crepes and ginghams are examples of fabrics made on box looms.
