Aesthetics is a term used to describe textiles properties perceived by touch and sight, for example, colour, lustre, drape, texture or what is also known the hand of fabrics or garments. It´s a subjective perception of textile qualities and does not measure durability and so on. Aesthetics from the French word literally mean to perceive (1798) adj.
