Painting Water dreaming by Jack P. Tjakamarra. W ater in Aboriginal dream-time storytelling

“We never know the worth of water till the well is dry. ” ― Thomas Fuller

Water in history has always been an important part of histories and mythology. For aboriginals are all sources of water associated with “Dreaming stories” when the universe was created. Even in the central desert of Australia’s water was not any problems to find. Its occurrence is known and understood only by the people who have been born there and can draw on traditional knowledge. Water soaks age is important in Aboriginal mythology. The stories told from the dreamtime was passed on from generation to the next for more than 50.000 years without losing its magic power,  gave unity and purpose to Aboriginal societies over the past and are important today in maintaining their identity are expressed in art, music and storytelling.

All native people around the world, Indians, aboriginals, Mayans, desert nomads have all respect for the deepness in nature and dependence of water. We believe in the western culture that we somewhat stand above nature, and that nature is our servant, is rather the other way around. Furthermore, we tend to believe that our technology will fix everything; this is not true modern technology has more than any other thing destroyed the planet. The result is catastrophic, more than 800 million people live without access to clean water; investors buy up land resources with purpose to sell water to the same people they stole from first. However, Internet communication has made more people realize what is going on. Therefore, your contribution to charity: water makes difference. Thanks for your donation and contribution to solve an important issue; give people access to clean water. Something we take for grated in the western part of the world.

Please contribute to the campaign by purchasing an organic cotton bag with the most important environmental quote in time; “you must be the change you wish to see in the world. Gandhi”
