WHERE: Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico
ACHIEVEMENTS: American film star and racing driver. His roles in films like Sand Pebbles, The Magnificent Seven Bullitt, The Great Escape, and The Thomas Crown Affair and, Papillon made him an American movie icon and anti-hero. In 1974 he was the best paid actor in Hollywood.
WHY DENIM ICON? Because the ”king of the cool” in movies as Bullitt, Le Mans and Baby the Rain Must Fall from 1965 was simply the most stylish actor and gave denim culture a new look, in addition he was a PRO car race driver. Steve McQueen is the actor with most products branded with his name sunglasses as Perosol, Barbour jacket and watches as Monaco and Rolex Submariner.
